Phoenix Lake Golf Course

21448 Paseo Del Los Portales Road, Sonora. This course nestled in the foothills of Tuolumne County hosts a driving range, club and power cart rentals, professional golf instruction, and a newly remodeled clubhouse. Phoenix Lake's 9-hole golf course is 2,711 yards of scenic golf from the longest tee for a par of 35. The course was designed by Bert Stamps and opened in 1968. The course offers narrow fairways, plentiful oak trees and the winding Sullivan Creek that comes into play on many of the picturesque holes. Their signature hole is #3, a par 3 of 180 yards, requiring an uphill tee shot over a dangerous creek and through a 40 yard gap of tall trees to reach the green.
